In addition to our daily programs, you’ll find fun family events like Set Sail for School, National Ice Cream Day Celebration, Winter Break, Noontime New Year, and so many more happening throughout the year at Port Discovery!
Feature Events, Campaigns, & Promotions
December 15 : Sensory Friendly Sunday
Port Discovery’s Sensory Friendly Sundays provide Museum access to families who would benefit from a sensory friendly experience and quieter setting at Port Discovery two hours before opening to the general public.
December 31 : Noontime New Year
Help Port Discovery ring in 2025 with our annual Noontime New Year celebration! Celebrate the arrival of the New Year with a day full of engaging programming and activities designed with themed learning.
December 23 - January 3 : Winter break
Tis’ the season for a winter break filled with fun and special educational activities from our public programming team, featuring 12 Days of Play! Port Discovery will be open for extended hours so that children and their caregivers can enjoy a variety of interactive and hands-on activities everyday leading up until our signature event: Noontime New Year.
January 25 : Stuffies Day Out
Bring your favorite stuffed toy for a fun-filled day of imaginative play! Enjoy teddy-bear themed programming and a special visit from Danny Joe from Danny Joe’s Tree House!
January 29 : Community Day
Visit Port Discovery for just $10 per person and enjoy 3 floors of fun, plus special performances and activities from our education team!
February 1 : Hops & Vines
Join us for a grown-up friend-raiser (21+) in support of Port Discovery’s educational and access programs, where we bring together the best breweries and wineries from around the region for an evening of premier tastings!
