Sensory Friendly Sundays
Sensory Friendly Sundays - For All
The Museum strives to be an inclusive and accessible space that celebrates neurodiversity and welcomes people of all needs and abilities. We currently offer monthly Sensory Friendly Sundays on the 3rd Sunday of every month, open to all guests and members, and weekly Access & Inclusion Afternoons open to groups serving children and families with disabilities, on the autism spectrum, and/or sensory processing disorders. Pre-registration is required.
Sensory Friendly Sundays - For All
A sensory friendly experience at the museum
Port Discovery’s Sensory Friendly Mornings provide Museum access to families who would benefit from a sensory friendly experience and quieter setting at Port Discovery two hours before opening to the general public.
These mornings are designed to provide you with an opportunity to enjoy the Port Discovery experience in a sensory modified setting, including limited admission and sound and lighting adjustments.
Sensory Friendly Mornings will include open-play opportunities throughout the Museum. No proof of qualification will be required.
