Color and create in our creative arts studio!

Visit the BGE Art Cove to experience hands-on, creative exploration of visual arts of all kinds. Choose from a variety of art-based projects, all designed to promote creative freedom and exploration while enhancing fine motor, social, and creativity skills. We’ll provide you with tips and tools to create together – and our staff will clean up the mess!

Art programs in the BGE Art Cove are made possible by the Citizens of Baltimore County and by the Howard County Arts Council through a grant from Howard County Government.

  • This is a great activity to try together, so parents and caregivers are encouraged to create, too!
  • Encourage your child to try new tools and materials.
  • Guide your child along by providing prompts that help them understand what they are making, encourage them to try new tools (e.g. using scissors, paintbrushes, etc.), and test what happens when colors mix.
  • Visit often as projects and art materials change.
