Derek has a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Lynchburg, currently serves as Artistic Council Member of the Baltimore Rock Opera Society, and is a local actor and writer in the Maryland Community Theatre Circuit. Like a true man of the theatre, Derek’s favorite expression is “thank you five.” When not performing, Derek likes to bake, read, write, watch documentaries and listen to music. As a little one, Derek wanted to be a cartoonist for Disney because he loved watching their movies. If Derek were a water vessel, he would be a tugboat because he’s supportive, flexible, and has many different duties.
