Tired of the same old routine? There are SO many fun things to see, do, and explore at Port Discovery! In addition to our daily programs, you’ll find fun family events like Set Sail for School, National Ice Cream Day Celebration, Winter Break, Noontime New Year, and so many more happening throughout the year at Port Discovery!

April 25 : Science in the Skies: Sounding Rockets – Homeschool Days
Join us for a day of excitement, exploration, and learning, all by the way of play! Embark on a self-guided journey throughout the three floors of fun Port Discovery has to offer and tap into special workshops offered just for our homeschoolers on these special days.
April 27 : Sensory Friendly Sunday
Port Discovery’s Sensory Friendly Sundays provide Museum access to families who would benefit from a sensory friendly experience and quieter setting at Port Discovery two hours before opening to the general public.
April 29 : Access & Inclusion Afternoon
Port Discovery’s Access & Inclusion Afternoons provide a modified environment for play and learning for children, their caregivers, and families who would benefit from a sensory friendly experience and quieter setting at the museum.
May 3-4 : Be A Hero: Galaxy Rebels
Come be a hero at a Children’s Museum not so far away! On May 3rd & 4th, visit Port Discovery Children’s Museum for fun that visitors from all planets and galaxies are sure to enjoy.
May 10-11 : The Preakness Showcase at Port Discovery
From ponies and Maryland-inspired art projects to local music and interactive activities, this weekend honors everything that makes the Old Line State unique. It’s a fantastic way to get excited right before Preakness, all while learning and having fun with your family!
