Tired of the same old routine? There are SO many fun things to see, do, and explore at Port Discovery! In addition to our daily programs, you’ll find fun family events like Set Sail for School, National Ice Cream Day Celebration, Winter Break, Noontime New Year, and so many more happening throughout the year at Port Discovery!
Feature Events, Campaigns, & Promotions
May 10-11 : The Preakness Showcase at Port Discovery
From ponies and Maryland-inspired art projects to local music and interactive activities, this weekend honors everything that makes the Old Line State unique. It’s a fantastic way to get excited right before Preakness, all while learning and having fun with your family!
May 13 : Access & Inclusion Afternoon
Port Discovery’s Access & Inclusion Afternoons provide Museum access on select weekday afternoons to families who would benefit from a modified sensory friendly environment for play and learning for children, their caregivers, and families.
May 16 : Community Days
Visit Port Discovery for just $10 per person and enjoy 3 floors of fun, plus special performances and activities from our Learning & Visitor Experience Team and Port Discovery Staff!
May 18 : Sensory Friendly Sunday
Port Discovery’s Sensory Friendly Sundays provide Museum access to families who would benefit from a sensory friendly experience and quieter setting at Port Discovery two hours before opening to the general public.
May 24-25 : Artscape Weekend
On May 24th and 25th, enjoy discounted admission to the museum with $10 per person and extend your Artscape experience with hands-on, art-focused activities at Port Discovery, just ten minutes away from Kidscape!
May 26 : Open for Memorial Day
Port Discovery is open for Memorial Day! Visit the museum and enjoy 3 floors of fun, plus themed special performances and activities from our Learning & Visitor Experience Team and Port Discovery Staff.
